Setiap manusia mempunyai kelebihan, kekuatan, kelemahan, dan kekurangan. Dan kekadang ujian dan dugaan yg dikurniakan oleh Allah s.w.t. meliputi kekurangan dan kelemahan berbanding kekuatan dan kelebihan.

Kerana apa?

Kerana itulah hikmah Allah timpakan sesuatu dugaan dan ujian itu, agar sudut yang lemah menjadi kuat, yang kurang menjadi sempurna.

Kerana ujian dan dugaan itulah yang mematangkan jiwa dan akal fikiran kita dalam menjalani kehidupan dunia..

Sehebat dan sebesar manapun ujian dunia yang menimpa, al-Quran tidak pernah mengecewakan orang-orang yang beriman dalam memberikan satu motivasi yang memandu mereka ke arah menguatkan iman mereka.

Mereka seolah-olah melalui satu jalan berliku, berduri dan penuh halangan, tetapi tahu hala tuju mereka pada suatu peta yang jelas di penghujungnya, kenikmatan yang berkekalan.

Kadang-kadang I feel like I talk about my father too much. saying that he’s an engineer and right now staying in a senior manager position. I am just too proud to be his daughter though I didn’t inherit his awesomeness and leadership character.

So does ummi. An engineer as well. Electrical engineering to be specific. Is just that ummi proceed to teaching instead of being an engineer itself. And currently doing phD in Electrical and Computer engineering. More of softwares thing. No I didn’t inherit her brain.

Ayah was a TNB scholar. Still working for TNB after 15 years and rejected so many offers from other national companies. The only reason is because, ayah said, this is the only way he can contribute to society again. Ummi was a JPA scholar and one of her project in University was submitted for international competition and I think she won the third place.

My sister is in Dean’s List for the two semester in her foundation and currently waiting for a scholarship offer.

Sometimes I think. I took a really wrong turn. Throwing out a really bad card. But if I didn’t do that I will learn nothing.

Trust me. I never said all that out of bragging or showing off. I never inherit all the merits that they have. I’m the weirdo in my family. Really.

on the other hand. I don’t know how can I say that I really want to meet you before I’m going. Before you’re going.

I don’t know what to do anymore. What am I going to do with you? What am I going to do with myself?

to be honest. one day, insya’allah and for sure I’m going to get learn how to scuba dive. Get a license. and travel to all beautiful oceans in this world and scuba dive.

Whale vs. Whale: Humpback whales intervene in orca attack

Whoa. This might go down as the most remarkable whale story I’ve ever heard. Monterey Bay, CA is a world-famous whale-watching spot, and on May 3, 2012, watchers were treated to an event that might change the way we think of whale cognition.

The hunt: A group of transient orcas was witnessed trying to separate a gray whale calf from its mom, a common hunting behavior. All of a sudden, two migrating humpback whales appeared. As the gray whale mother attempted to save her calf, the humpbacks splashed and trumpeted to scare away the orcas, often within a body length of the other whales.

Unfortunately, the baby whale was killed, but a total of five humpbacks harassed the orcas for hours (as seen in the photo from the scene, above), perhaps trying to keep them away from feeding on the carcass.

It’s a remarkable sequence of events. Dr. Lori Marino of Emory University, an expert in whale cognition, had this to say:

… humpback whales, and many other cetaceans, have specialized cells in their brains called Von Economo neurons (“spindle cells”) and these are shared with humans, great apes, and elephants. The exact function of these elongated neurons is still unknown but they are found in exactly the same locations in all mammal brains for the species that have them.

What is intriguing is that these parts of the mammal brain are thought to be responsible for social organization, empathy, speech, intuition about the feelings of others, and rapid “gut” reactions.

It’s difficult, if not impossible to equate this kind of behavior as “feelings”, in the human sense, but there’s certainly empathy here, and between two species to boot! 

Whatever the answer, it’s touching proof of the intelligence of whales, and perhaps we can take this as a reminder that defending other species from destruction (or extinction) is a natural, core value of intelligent creatures like ourselves.

Even right now, I feel so hopeless and my heart feels so heavy. I can’t imagine what’s  happening to her at this instant. May Allah grant her and her family a heart as strong as a steel.

Assalamualaikum, a friend of mine (her name is Amirah. I call her Kak Mira cause she’s older than me) is in a rough situation. Her mother is in a critical condition after falling into a car accident last Friday. Your prayers are much appreciated. Not only for her but for you as well. As a reminder to us. 

May Allah makes it easy for her and her family.
